Ushara Dilrukshan

Ushara is a sonic performance artist and soprano working across expanded opera, composition, pipe organ and experimental theatre. 
She holds an MA from the Royal College of Art.

Trembling Nearness

Performance
The Koppel Project, November 2025

Trembling Nearness is a performance for cello, voice, and body staged around the sculpture To Touch, Barely conceived by Yihao Zhang.
Bow, breath, and movement compose a fragile choreography of approach and release, where sound swells and thins like mist drawn by a turning tide.
The piece treats intimacy as a material relation—felt across distance, never possessed—asking how we keep reaching for one another when connection trembles.
